Chandigarh Brochure

Hinting at geopolitics through architectural brutalism

CHALLENGE

The Punjab region of India was ripped in two in 1947. A new capital, Chandigarh, was constructed as an architectural utopia designed by renowned brutalist Le Corbusier. How can we market an architectural tour of Le Corbusier’s Chandigarh without giving away too much to interested customers?

Graphic designer

OUTPUT

A visual identity that hints at the geopolitical origins of the rise—and subsequent fall—of Chandigarh by drawing on the structure of brutalist aesthetics and pairing it with abstracted imagery of tour highlights.
